Khaldoon Al Mubarak wants to win the treble with Pep Guardiola
Khaldoon Al Mubarak is the chairman of the English Premier League club Manchester City and the wealthy Emirati entrepreneur who has an estimated net worth of $71 million has recently stated that he wants Pep Guardiola to win the treble and maybe even more.
Pep Guardiola just concluded going through his debut season at the helm of Manchester City and the Spanish manager was not able to lift any piece of silverware at all.
The 2016-17 season of the Premier League was a disappointing one for Manchester City and for Pep Guardiola as no trophies were won. During the semi-finals of the FA Cup of that same season, Manchester City was knocked out by Arsenal. While in the Premier League, Manchester City had to settle with the 3rd spot.
After such an underwhelming debut season, the chairman of Manchester City, Khaldoon Al Mubarak has emerged and revealed his extremely ambitious targets.
“The dream of doing the treble, yes. I want to do the Treble, or else let’s go for the Quadruple! Why not? “We should have that aspiration. I have it, no doubt. Pep wants to win it all and that’s what I love most about him because that’s how I feel, we want to win it all. We might not be able to achieve it, but I can assure you, we’re going to try to do that.´´
“Next year is going to be a massive year for us. Expectations are high, ambitions are high. I have a lot of hope that we’re going to come back next season very strong and I hope we can deliver to our fans an incredible season next year´´ Manchester City´s Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.
In order to actually achieve all of the targets that Khaldoon Al Mubarak revealed, Pep Guardiola needs to have in his team, top class performers and he actually already has it with the likes of: David Silva, Sergio Aguero and John Stones just to name a few, but a few more players might be needed and considering that the summer transfer window has already kicked off, it´s the ideal opportunity for Guardiola to improve his squad.
