MANCHESTER CITY CAN CONQUER BARCELONA - KOEMAN
The man in charge of Everton’s managerial job, Ronald Koeman believes Manchester City are capable of defeating Barcelona, but if a very vigilant care is not taken, they can be quickly punished at every chance they give away.
Koeman's men visited Pep Guardiola's side in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Saturday. The narrow one point snatched from the visitor extended City's winless run to three matches ahead of their journey to Barcelona in the Champions League group-stage clash.
The Everton’s boss man alleged that Guardiola's men are up to the task of grabbing three points against Luis Enrique's men but they need to be cautious from the very first minute to the last.
"I think Manchester City are strong enough as a team to secure a good result in Nou Camp but as a team playing against Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez, there can be no relaxed moment as any of them can score out of one chance," the Dutchman said.
The Everton’s boss is also greatly of the belief that any defensive error on the part of City could lead to no less than three goals once the chance is there.
Koeman was a winner of numerous trophies as a player with the Spanish team Barcelona. He therefore looks forward to what Barcelona will do to the team that troubled his side just recently.
The former Netherlands international said the two teams' possession-based styles would greatly entertain and make a fascinating encounter on Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash.
Koeman said: "The two teams will both have the ball on ground more and I suppose such match is the best game you can watch to enjoy the display of two giants and it will be a really high standard of football. I am really looking forward to seeing the fantastic match"
