MOYES BACKS UNITED
The manager of Manchester United, David Moyes, has praised his players for their improved performance against Swansea City.
The Red Devils put up a clinical show against Swansea at Old Trafford yesterday and secured a 2-0 win to avenge the defeat that they had suffered against the Jacks in the FA Cup last week.
However, it’s not that the win came easily for United. In the first half, Swansea gave them a good run for their money, but, after the half time break, the hosts looked more determined and with a couple of good strikes, they made sure that their losing streak would not continue.
Before coming into this match, United had been defeated thrice on the trot and they had been facing a lot of criticism.
The players who found the back of the net for United in the game against Swansea were Antonio Valencia (in the 47th minute) and Danny Welbeck (in the 59th minute), but, the hero of the game for them was the Belgian teenager Adnan Januzaj. The winger once again showed that he is good enough to become a regular figure in the starting line up of United. He played wonderful football for the entire 90 minutes and set up both the goals for his team.
Speaking in the press conference after the match, Moyes said, “It’s nice to win again after a while. Hopefully from here on, we will keep improving. That’s very important.”
“Adnan is a fearless bloke. We chat with each other quite often and he always says that he is ready to play at any position.”
United’s next match is going to be a tough one. They will face an in form Chelsea side next Sunday at Stamford Bridge. The fans of both the teams would be waiting desperately for that game.
