Struggling Premier League giants Arsenal are the latest team to show an interest in signing Manchester City defender Eric Garcia. The interest of Arsenal in the Manchester City centre back was revealed by media outlet AFC Bell on Thursday. Spanish La Liga club Barcelona are determined to secure a return for Eric Garcia after he left the club three years ago to join the Manchester City Academy. Eric Garcia was in the Manchester City Academy for one year before he made his professional debut in the colours of the club two years ago.

Eric Garcia joined Barcelona at the age of seven and he spent nine years at the famed La Masia Academy before Manchester City signed him. Barcelona wanted to sign him in the summer but they were not able to raise the funds needed for the Spanish international who had one year remaining on his Manchester City contract.

Man City player pair Felix Nmecha and Eric Garcia has caught the eye of the team coach this season. However, the match that was held last Thursday did see them struggling in the field. They are now on the team and these are their debut matches.

Eric was hailed as the leader of the future for Manchester City last week while Felix has come in after being selected from the Academy of the club. Both were in their debut matches that the club played against Burton. Pep Guardiola felt that it was time to allow some of the young debutants to make an entry for the club. He has also included their names to be part of the team that would be in the semifinals of Carabao Cup.
